Cypress Semiconductor has partnered with Denso, a leading automotive supplier, to provide advanced technology for the 2017 Toyota Camry dashboard. The Traveo® automotive MCU series and FL-S Serial NOR Flash from Cypress are at the core of this innovation. These components enable high-performance 3D graphics displays, enhanced security, and efficient storage solutions for the vehicle’s central dashboard.
The Traveo MCU is based on the ARM Cortex-R5 processor and marks the industry's first 3D display-enabled automotive microcontroller. It not only reduces storage requirements but also delivers rich visual capabilities. Meanwhile, the FL-S NOR flash uses Cypress’s proprietary MirrorBit® technology, offering the highest density serial NOR flash in the market with 2 bytes per storage unit.
Denso’s dashboard features a 4.2-inch or 7-inch display that integrates audio, video, and navigation functions into one system. This collaboration highlights Cypress’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions tailored for the automotive industry.
