In order to ensure flight safety and avoid delays in aerial photography, Xiao Bian has compiled the "Comprehensive Guide to Applying for the Lifting of the No-Fly Zone Ban on DJI Drones" as a reference for those who need to conduct aerial filming. It's important to note that no-fly zone regulations vary by region, so this guide is intended as an example to help you understand the general procedure for lifting the ban.
**DJI Drone No-Fly Zone Lifting Steps**
1. **Initial Application**: Before applying for the lifting of the no-fly zone or seeking permission from the local public security department, send an email to the official DJI support mailbox. If your application is approved, DJI will reply with the necessary process and documentation requirements.
2. **Document Preparation**: Download the required file format from the DJI email response, complete it according to the instructions, and have it stamped by the relevant authority. Then, upload all the required documents through the temporary link provided in the email.
3. **Lifting the Ban**: You can apply for the lifting of the ban within one week. Once processed, log in to DJI-GO using the same email account used for the application. After logging in, open the drone's operation interface, and the ban should be lifted.
For detailed instructions and information about restricted areas, refer to the official DJI website video and documentation. These guidelines are for informational purposes only. Always check local regulations before flying.
If you have received permission from the local authorities, please upload the following information on the application page. DJI supports all current models:
1. Organizational information, such as a copy of the three certificates (if it's a government agency, see point 2).
2. A copy of the government approval document (e.g., a letter or document approved by the local air traffic control, Air Force Commission, or public security department).
3. A copy of the user’s ID card.
4. Sign and stamp the disclaimer.
5. Sign and stamp the confidentiality agreement.
6. Provide the latitude and longitude coordinates of the area to be unblocked, without including the radius.
7. The serial number of the aircraft.

It’s important to note that once the ban is successfully lifted, you must use the same email account to log in to DJI-GO for future flights. Changing the account may result in re-banning.
The temporary link provided in the email opens in Google Chrome only, as shown below:

Below are the five files you need to upload, corresponding to the steps mentioned above. All files must be valid and correctly formatted.
There are templates for the five application documents included in the email. We’ll go over each one in detail.

When selecting the area to be unblocked, the maximum range allowed is 30 km.

Up to 10 locations can be unblocked simultaneously on the same aircraft. The lifting of the ban is valid for 3 months, meaning that within a 10-month period, you can fly freely in the previously banned locations.
**What Are the Five Required Application Documents?**
1. **Government Approval Document**
This is one of the most critical steps. Without proper government approval, your application will not be accepted. The document needs to describe the purpose of the flight and be stamped by the local public security department. It cannot be applied for under your own name; usually, Party A (the client) is responsible for submitting the application.

2. **Organizational Information (Business License)**
Companies and aerial photography studios must submit this document. Government departments only require the approval document.

3. **Copy of User ID Card**
Everyone is familiar with this requirement.
4. **Disclaimer Form**
This form is straightforward — just fill out the required fields and stamp it accordingly.

5. **Confidentiality Agreement**
This also requires simple completion and stamping.

After uploading these five essential files, you should receive a confirmation email from DJI within a week. Be sure to apply well in advance to allow sufficient time for processing.
**Operating the Aircraft After Lifting the Ban**
- Use the original email account used for the application to log in to DJI-GO.
- Ensure a stable internet connection to upload and download data before the ban is lifted.
- Make sure your GPS signal is strong (at least 7 satellites visible).
- Use DJI GO 4 version 4.0.5. Avoid automatic updates if possible.

**Unblocking Process**
1. Connect the remote controller to your mobile device via USB. Turn on the remote and open the app. Ensure the aircraft is properly connected.
2. On the first screen, tap the three dots in the top right corner.
3. A “Clear Buffer†button will appear. Tap it, and the option to unlock the no-fly zone will become available.
4. Click the “Unlock†button for the specific location you need to fly in.
5. After unlocking, select the latitude and longitude coordinates. Refresh the list to confirm the unlock status.

Once the system shows a green light, you’re ready to fly!
**Important Notes**
- Never apply in your own name. It's best for Party A (the client) to apply. If they can't, Party B (the aerial photography company) can apply, but both parties must provide necessary information.
- Applying half a month in advance is recommended to avoid any last-minute issues.
Always follow local regulations and communicate clearly with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and safe flight experience. Let’s fly responsibly together!
