The project "Common Technology Innovation Platform for Heavy-duty CNC Machines," a key national initiative that involved Qizhong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd., has successfully passed the national acceptance review. This milestone marks a significant step forward in China's efforts to enhance its technological self-reliance in the heavy-duty CNC machine tool industry.
The project was a collaborative effort between four leading domestic equipment manufacturers and five top Chinese universities. It aimed to address critical challenges in the sector, focusing on strengthening independent technological innovation and developing core technologies. Through in-depth research on key common technologies, the project laid the foundation for building an advanced innovation platform tailored for heavy-duty CNC machines.
The research covered essential areas such as the development of heavy-duty CNC machine tools, including foundational technologies like static pressure systems, precision engineering, thermal deformation control, reliability enhancement, and servo drive systems. These advancements are gradually being integrated into the broader heavy machine tool industry, providing crucial technical support for the independent research and development of high-end CNC products.
Qizhong CNC, in collaboration with Harbin Institute of Technology, took charge of constructing a "Heavy-duty CNC Machine Tool Precision Testing Platform." They conducted extensive analysis on how large-scale measurements and gravitational forces impact machine accuracy. By combining modeling, simulation, and experimental validation, they developed a comprehensive testing methodology for large-scale precision in heavy machine tools. This led to improved standards and specifications for precision testing in the industry.
As part of the project, three patent applications were submitted, and four new products with independent intellectual property rights were developed. Additionally, four precision test stands were designed and built, creating a robust environment for precision platform research and development.
The establishment of the heavy-duty CNC machine tool precision platform is a vital component of the broader common technology innovation platform. It addresses fundamental theoretical and technical challenges related to precision modeling, testing, and evaluation.
