At the welding workshop of Zhangzhou Kangliyuan Fitness Equipment Co., Ltd., a semi-automatic production line is equipped with over 20 robots that are responsible for welding various components. These machines have significantly improved both speed and precision in the manufacturing process.
Liu Li, a worker at the Kangliyuan fitness equipment welding workshop, explained: “A single robot can handle the workload of six or seven workers, and the quality of its welding is much more precise and visually appealing than manual work.â€
In September 2015, Golden Cat Robots established itself in Zhangzhou. Soon after, Kangliyuan customized a fully automatic intelligent production line within the same industrial park, successfully transitioning from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing. This transformation became a model for what has been called the "Chuzhou Alternative."
Li Huiliang, CEO of Jiangsu Kangliyuan Fitness Equipment Co., Ltd., pioneered the first smart production line in China. Through efforts to digitize equipment, manage information systems, e-commerce sales, and brand development, the company has earned recognition, including the "China Famous Trademark," "National High-Tech Enterprise," and "State-Level Enterprise Technology Center."
Guo Xiaofei, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Golden Cat Robot, said: “We gradually introduced the concept of automation into different business units. This approach not only addresses their operational pain points but also helps reduce costs and labor challenges.â€
Beyond Kangliyuan, Golden Cat Robots and their control systems have also been adopted by plate processing enterprises and industrial plants in the surrounding areas of Xuzhou.
Guo Xiaofei added: “The development of industrial robots aligns with the national strategy. The widespread demand in the market has driven this growth. So far, we have served over 60 customers, with more than a dozen currently in negotiation.â€
With the introduction of policies such as “Made in China 2025†and the “Robot Industry Development Plan,†the robot industry is experiencing a new wave of opportunities. Chenzhou City is seizing these chances, accelerating the construction of smart manufacturing towns, boosting enterprise innovation, and promoting the rapid growth of emerging industries. Major projects and high-tech initiatives are supporting the city’s goal of achieving higher-quality and more efficient economic growth.
Wei Dongsheng, Deputy Director of the Wuzhou High-tech Zone Management Committee, stated: “The High-tech Zone has launched several 'Smart Manufacturing 2025' projects.
