Machine vision technology mimics the human eye by using a camera and replaces the brain with image processing software to inspect or identify products. It typically consists of several key components: a light source, a lens, a camera, an image acquisition card, an image processor or software, and necessary I/O interfaces. This system is highly efficient, accurate, and repeatable, making it irreplaceable in many industrial applications where human vision may fall short. As a result, machine vision has become a critical tool in automation engineering, especially for quality inspection and assembly verification.
The inspection task involves measuring the distance between four parts of products labeled A, B, C, and D, as illustrated in the following diagram:

The testing equipment used includes an IEEE 1394 camera, a HR F1.4/16mm lens, two strip lights, and a Nokia BL-5C 1020mAh sample battery. The setup involves specific parameters: the distance from the camera lens to the stage is approximately 19 cm, the height of the left strip is about 7 cm, and the angle between the beam and the vertical line is around 60 degrees. The vertical line of the strip aligns with the sample battery.
At a distance of 4.5 cm, the front strip light is placed directly on the stage, positioned at a 90-degree angle to the space of the left strip and about 4 cm away from the sample cell. Below are additional visual representations of the setup:

The detection effect demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating machine vision into electronic production test equipment. Such systems are usually a combination of optical, mechanical, and mechatronic technologies, emphasizing the seamless integration of machine vision, motion control, and data acquisition. However, due to limited experience among domestic manufacturers and system integrators in combining these technologies, there is often a need for more technical support during project development and system integration.
Currently, many domestic suppliers of machine vision, motion control, and data acquisition systems operate independently, which makes it challenging to provide a comprehensive solution for full application scenarios. To address this issue, Euresys has established a strategic partnership with ADLINK, a leading manufacturer of high-end industrial computers based on CompactPCI and PXI technologies. By fully integrating their products and technologies, Euresys aims to deliver complete industry application solutions for equipment manufacturers and system integrators.
