Just 99 euros! Nokia 2 release: bronze polyester fuselage, life burst table

[PConline News] "Don't underestimate the low-end market," Nokia is taking this saying to the extreme. On October 31, the Nokia 2 was officially launched. It comes with a massive 4100mAh battery that can last up to two days, making it a strong contender for users looking for long-lasting performance. The global price is set at 99 euros (approximately 764 yuan), which makes it an affordable option in many regions.

The specifications are not particularly impressive, but they are sufficient for basic use. The Nokia 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor (4 x Cortex-A7 @ 1.3GHz), paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also supports microSD cards up to 128GB, giving users more flexibility for storage expansion. However, the network support is limited to GSM, WCDMA, and LTE, which may restrict its appeal in certain markets.

The device features a 5-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It uses In-Cell technology, offering a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and comes protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. The camera setup includes a 5MP front-facing lens and an 8MP rear camera, which should be adequate for casual photography. The phone runs on a stock version of Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

In terms of design, the Nokia 2 sports an aluminum alloy frame combined with a polycarbonate back cover, available in three color options: bronze, black, and white. The design gives it a modern and sleek look. The bronze and black models come with a matching front panel, while the white variant features a white front panel for a cohesive appearance.

To accommodate the large 4100mAh battery, the phone has a thickness of 9.3mm. It also offers IP52 dust and water resistance, adding some durability to its feature set.

Despite its decent battery life and design, the Nokia 2 lacks support for multiple network bands and does not include a fingerprint sensor. This might make it less appealing for the Chinese market, where such features are often expected. However, it could still find a niche audience in other regions. Tech enthusiasts are advised to keep an eye on future updates or potential regional releases.
