Canadian public safety communications company Amika Mobile has announced plans to develop a networked vehicle in collaboration with Mobility Insight (Mobi), an Israeli developer specializing in smart border security. According to reports, the two companies are working together on a proposal for the Canadian government. Mobi will utilize its hybrid cloud infrastructure and Amika Mobility Server (AMS) platform as a key component of emergency communication systems. The AMS is a patented AI-powered smart agent platform capable of handling thousands of simultaneous events and automatically detecting mobile devices in public spaces such as borders, airports, and large venues, enabling immediate assistance and evacuation during emergencies.
Mobi’s cloud system and IoT sensor network are designed to enhance traffic prediction, analysis, and overall efficiency. By integrating data from traditional systems, smart sensors, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, and dedicated short-range communication (DSRC), the company aims to build smarter infrastructure that supports more effective traffic management policies, strategies, and planning. This integration improves situational awareness and performance metrics, allowing for real-time, intelligent decisions regarding traffic congestion, patterns, control, and transportation planning.
The AMS Smart Agent platform enhances situational awareness, facilitates information sharing, and enables fast, two-way communication across devices. It achieves seamless control through deep integration with physical security systems. The platform monitors and tracks responses at the communication layer, including networked vehicles, computer voice, VoIP, newsletters, pop-up messages, push notifications, email, overhead displays, digital signals, Twitter, camera systems, fishing boat monitoring systems (VMS), government alerts, and climate reminders, all connected via Mobi’s IoT sensor network.

He highlighted the company's ability to manage demand and reduce bottlenecks as crucial for future efforts in reducing traffic congestion. According to Ganor, this solution serves as an ideal example of how integrated technologies can transform urban mobility and public safety.
