Molex Releases Next Generation CMX Connector Family

Molex, a leading global supplier of one-stop interconnect products, announces the launch of its second generation of hermetic, hybrid, high-density, modular connector series based on successful CMC connection systems. The CMX series is fully protected. The new CTX terminal series with sealing function provides the best sealing performance. The CMX connector series is ideal for power transmission applications in the transportation industry such as engine control units, automatic transmissions, suspension controls and electric parking brakes.

“The next-generation CMX connector family is based on the 10-year CMC product line of Molex Corporation, with significant performance improvements while maintaining a cost advantage,” said Sarvin Williams, Molex’s global product manager. The uniqueness lies in the complex design of the interface seal protection, which ensures that the connector is protected before connection, connection and disconnection."

The first two circuit sizes of the CMX series are the compact design of the 5-row/55-circuit CMX connector and the 5-row/65-circuit CMX connector to meet the needs of the transportation market. At present, more connectors of different circuit sizes in the series are under development.
