LED patent lawsuit Yiguang wins and continues to attack Japanese LED lighting battlefield

LED packaging factory Everlight recently filed a lawsuit against Japan for the invalidation of Japan’s patents, and the two sides have met with fierce battles. The patent disputes between Yiguang and Japan Solar in Taiwan have declared their success. The Patent Litigation between Yiguang and Nichia (No. 089,036) was ruled by Taiwan’s Supreme Administrative Court before Yiguang’s success and will reject the appeal of the Asiana case. This case was determined by the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. After the verdict of the Supreme Administrative Court is received, the patent right will be revoked on the date of cancellation.

The patent dispute between Yew Kwong and Nissan has been litigated for many years. Since 2006, the lawsuit between Everlight and Japan Asia has continued. Yiguang was once defeated and was sentenced to compensate Japan and Asia for NT$8,000. Ten thousand yuan damages, but after appealing, the patent of Asia identified in 2010 was invalidated in the civil determination day. After Yiguang won the civil lawsuit, the administrative litigation in Taiwan’s intellectual property court also won in early 2011, and Japan’s patents were cancelled and Japan’s patent was cancelled. Right, Yasushi continued to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court, and the Supreme Administrative Court recently sentenced to uphold the original judgment.

Yiguang said that after the patent litigation, the internal R&D and patent team continued to study the validity of Japan-Asian-related patents, and gradually discovered the evidence of patent invalidity asserted by Nissan. At present, it has filed a total of 21 cases for Japan and Asia in the world. The patent is invalid.

Yiguang pointed out that the final decision of this administrative litigation reaffirmed the company’s consistent position of respecting intellectual property rights. Faced with international patent warfare for many years, with efforts to build its own R&D technology and intellectual property rights capabilities,?堳e has nearly 1400 patent applications, of which more than 700 have been certified. In the future, we will continue to strengthen our technological research and development and patent layout, and vigorously defend our rights.

With the expansion of business opportunities in the LED lighting market and the development of Illuminated Lighting's own-brand Everlight, Japan’s Yiguang has filed a lawsuit against Japan’s patent invalidation in Japan. The courts sued Yiguang infringement, but Yiguang said that in 2012, the plan to sell Japan's Everlight LED lighting products will remain unchanged, and it will attack the main battlefield of Japanese LED lighting.
