Financial Times Global 500 News: China Mobile ranked 16th

On June 30, the “Financial Times” of the UK announced the list of top 500 global companies. The top three companies were ExxonMobil, PetroChina, and Apple, with market capitalization of 417.2 billion, 326.2 billion, and 321.1 billion.

Microsoft fell from third place last year to tenth, Nokia dropped to 271 from 102 last year. The top 100 technology companies also include (in parentheses the rankings): IBM (14), AT&T (20), Oracle (22), Google (28), Vodafone (30), Samsung Electronics (36), Siemens (42), Intel (47), Verizon (48), Cisco (57), Qualcomm (62), Hewlett-Packard (64), Amazon (77), Japan Telecom NTT DoCoMo (85), SAP (91), etc.

China Mobile’s market value was US$184.88 billion, ranking 16th. China Unicom has a market value of 39.1 billion U.S. dollars, ranking 209th. The top 100 Chinese mainland companies also include Bank of China (29), Agricultural Bank of China (34), CNOOC (46), Sinopec (49), China Life Insurance (58), and China Shenhua (63).
