LD7209: PWM dimming LED driver

The LD7209 is an LED driver that can drive 3 to 8 WLED backlights and provides 38V open-circuit voltage protection. It can be used in portable products such as small-size screen backlight LEDs powered by lithium batteries, such as mobile phones, PDAs, GPS, laptops. And digital photo frame.

LD7209 adopts 1MHZ high-frequency PWM switching frequency design, which can effectively reduce the external inductor and capacitor volume, and use PWM input (200HZ ~ 200KHZ) to adjust the LED brightness, so that the LED current is proportional to the PWM duty ratio.

In addition to flexible brightness control, the LD7209 incorporates reliable protection features; built-in soft activation eliminates inrush current during activation and features open LED protection, current overload limiting and overtemperature protection. And in the cut-off mode, only consume 0.1mA, reducing battery power consumption.

The LD7209 has an efficiency of up to 90%. The internal 0.3V reference voltage provides maximum efficiency when limiting LEDs and extends battery life.

The LD7209 is available in a mini package (3mm x 3mm DFN-8).
