The environmental awareness of the Japanese government and nationals is increasing. According to the survey data of Japan's GFK survey company, the market share of LED in the Japanese bulb market has rapidly increased from 0.01% in 2009 to 10% in February this year.
It is reported that in April the Japanese government will begin to implement the environmental product credit system. The purchase of LEDs will receive environmental protection points in exchange for government subsidies. By then, the market share of LEDs will further expand.
Affected by the Japanese government's introduction of environmental protection measures, major Japanese companies are accelerating the conversion from producing incandescent bulbs with low energy efficiency to LEDs with low power consumption and long life. The major manufacturers have adjusted the price and increased the variety in the competition, which has been supported by the government.
