Cree's fourth-quarter earnings report is up 6% from the third quarter

CREEInc. (NASDAQ: CREE) announced on August 16, 2016, US time, as of June 26, 2016, the company's fourth quarter fiscal 2016 revenue was $388 million, compared with the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015, $382 million. The revenue increased by 2% compared with the third quarter of fiscal 2016, an increase of 6%.

In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, the US GAAP net loss was $11 million, compared to a US GAAP net loss of $88 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. Non-GAAP net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, compared to non-GAAP, net income of $19 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. The loss was $21 million.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2016, Cree expects revenue to reach $1.62 billion, down 1% from revenue of $1.63 billion in fiscal 2015.

In fiscal 2016, the US General Accounting Standards (GAAP) net loss was $22 million, compared to a US GAAP net loss of $65 million in FY2015. Non-GAAP net income for the fiscal year 2015 was $8 million, compared to non-GAAP, which was compared to non-GAAP net income of $71 million.
