The article introduces the non-isolated BUCK topology based on TRUEC2 technology to achieve 18W extremely high precision fluorescent lamp LED constant current control. The test proves that the full-closed TRUEC2 technology detects the real output current in real time, and is immune to the input voltage and external inductance, which has improved the accuracy of the LED output current. Integrated MOSFETs simplify peripheral circuitry; control is protected from inductance. The small size can be built into the fluorescent lamp head and is an ideal non-isolated constant current drive solution. Finally, the author put forward his own views on the future development trend of LED driver power and its concerns.
In 2013, we personally felt the warmth of the development of the LED industry. There are several trends that are driving the development of the LED lighting market. The first is the continuous improvement of high-brightness LED efficiency and the emergence of high-efficiency and high-reliability constant-current LED drive power, followed by global legislation prohibiting the gradual fading of incandescent lighting and CFL energy-saving lamps (which contain mercury that is harmful to the environment). The combination of these factors is making LED lighting a long-term trend. More importantly, low cost (including LED beading, cooling system and LED driver ) is the original driving force for consumers to widely use LED general lighting. In addition to the major mission of energy saving and emission reduction, the more controllable characteristics of LEDs compared to other light sources make it possible to revolutionize the use of light in people's environment and provide many novel worlds of light and shadow. The most critical part of achieving these applications is driving the brain of the LED light source. Smaller size, fewer components, lower cost, and more powerful are the “demanding†requirements for LED drive power.
The minimalist line 18W LED fluorescent lamp driving scheme described in this paper is less than one dollar coin. The cost is about half of the current mainstream market solution, which is in response to this “demanding†requirement. The simple, perfect philosophy is played in this program.
